Over the past 25 years John Schaeffer has been one of the world’s most prominent collectors of British nineteenth-century art.

For the first time in the UK, a selection of the key works from his collection will be shown at Leighton House. Included are exceptional works by Leighton himself (the colour sketch for his celebrated Flaming June) and by his contemporaries including John William Waterhouse, William Holman Hunt, G.F. Watts and Solomon J Solomon.
